Makin old new again
I'm in the process of doing a refurbish job on a wide glide I bought new in 2000. Problem is I had the v wing collection stuff on it. I need a new air breather insert which is part number 29418-99. My HD dealer says it is obsolete, but they won't look very hard either. Anybody out there know where I can get one.

i'd be going to another harley shop where they appreciate your business. a good parts man can punch in the part number you need, to find if another dealer has it in stock. and can also check stock at harley. i try to shop where i'm treated well. otherwise they have shown me that they're not interested in my business. i bet the part is out there. there are a few used harley parts stores that specialize in older obsolete parts too. you might want to post in the classifieds section for the "want to buy" section of the forum. lots of guys like me got tons of goofy old outdated stuff just lying around. that would probably be your best bet actually, ya know? good luck.

Try Rob's Used Harley Parts they carry alot of old and obsolete chit. www.robsusedharleyparts.com. They are located in Va. and they can/will ship.
