Default Breaking Breaker Bars

Ok, what am I doing wrong here. I'm trying to take the final pulley off, but I've broken two breaker bars so far and the nut hasn't moved. I'm turning it in the clockwise direction. I have heated the nut up to soften the locktight but still no movement. I will go buy an impact driver, but they only provide up to 200ft lbs of shock torque. I'm inclined to think that might not be enough.

what nut are we talking about here? the one to take off the wheel or the ones of the pulley? if it's the wheel we're talking about... did u try loosening the adjusters a bit and maybe putting in some wd-40 in the threads?

I picked up a Dewalt 120V impact driver from Lowes and a can of penetrating oil from Autozone. That got it done. The nut was slathered in Red Locktight.

Now I gotta find someone with a press to get the main and coutershaft outo the tranny door so I can install the longer main shaft.

This has gotten even worse now. I reassembled the engine and started it up. The compensator nut was loose somehow and did a little damage to the threads on the end of the crankshaft. Possibly, the hammering effect damaged the magnets under the stator cover as well.
I need to step back from this and get a shop involved.

I'm doing a baker 6 speed conversion on my twin cam 5 speed tranny. I pulled the main shaft out first to make way for a regular socket on the main shaft pully. It was indeed very tough to get the nut off of it even with an pneumatic impact wrench.
I took the inner chain case bearing race off with my dremel first. Since I wasn't going to use the gear set I removed I simply used a few taps with brass mallet to get the main shaft free. I still have to re-assemble the tranny this weekend, I have the upgraded inner primary case bearing pressed into the pc, not sure yet how I'm going to accomplish pressing that onto the new main shaft. I know I'm not going to use a hammer this time tho!
