Does anyone have any experience with a brake and clutch lever that reduces the amount of reach requiered to operate? Wifes deluxe is a dream to her, but she is having problems as only the very tips of her fingers reach the levers. I need to find a way to fix this...anyone??
Don't anyonelaugh [yet], but I love creating solutions w/ my projects, and my first thought would be shimming the lever with some sort of stopper/bumper that would force it towards the grip. The brake cable would need loosening to account for the stretch of course. Coming up w/ a sturdy/permanent "shim/bumper" is the trick though... but give it a try if you like working on little projects.
Just got a reply from Kuryakan about those Boss blades...
"Our levers are considered reduced reach. The reduction is between 1/8
and 3/16 inch which is not very much but may help. The only way you will
know is to try a set. Unfortunately once a product is installed it may
not be returnable. You will want to ask the store where you purchase
them if you would be able to return them if they would not work for your
wife prior to purchasing them. Hope this helps
