09 Fat Bob hard to start
I put a set of Rush 2.0 slip ons about a month ago. I started it up to see how it sounded and if fired up fine, just like when the stock exhaust was on it. Took it up and down the stree a few times and it rode good. I got on it about a week later and it took about 4 seconds to start. When it is warm there is no problem starting. I looked in other threads and saw some people having this problem after they had put on a tuner. I didn't do that just changed out the mufflers and nothing else. Anyone have this issue or have heard of it. Should it be something to worry about.

You have the symptoms of loose battery cables. If they are just barely loose this will allow corrosion to build up between the battery posts and the cables. Take the cables off, clean the posts and cable ends and reattach them. There is a good chance this will fix the problem, if not it wont cost you anything to find out.

Agree with tmitchell. Should have nothing to do with your slip-ons. You may have another issue going on. Check the cables and if that doesn't work take it to the stealer. I put the same slip-ons on my Fat Bob a week ago. No issues with me.

Thanks guys, that is exactly what I did and they didn't seem to be loose but I put another 1/4 turn on the cables and it fired up right away. Amazing they can be that sensitive. Should I put some star washers on them, will this help prevent them from loosening or is it something you just need to check now and then.
