Default Passenger pegs Fat Boy Lo

Hello all,

Had a great plan to remove the passenger pegs from my fatboy lo. SInce my wife had her own ride, I don't need them and like the look without them.

So yesterday I started to work on removing them only to find the right side peg is also holding 2 parts together. Any suggestions on how to remove the peg but still have the parts held together? I would really like to make it so that peg and holder assembly is completely gone.

I thought about replacing the stock "bolt" with a shorter style in a black color, but wasn't sure hoe to make sure that the bolt would be the correct strength. last thing I need is for a replacment bolt to break and cause some type if havoc.

Thanks in advance
