Half-Helmet Advice

Need to buy a new helmet and only have prior experience with full face (dirt and race bike).

Any advice for a good DOT half helmet that is light and is well vented?

Scorpion makes a good half helmet with a built in visor. My wife and I both use them and are very satisfied. You can always put a Harley sticker on the back if you need to.

I have a half helmet; HCI. It tends to "slide" back when riding, exposing more of my forehead. I now have a 3/4 Bell Classic 500.

Buy an HJC with a removable storm curtain.Go to the Harley dealership and buy a small Harley badge and stick on the front of it.Wa la,instant Harley helmet at half the price.

I went to the HD Dealer a couple of weeks ago intent on buying the the HD Carbon Kevlar 1/2 helmet. Or another HD 1/2 helmet. Tried them all. Did'nt like the way they looked on me. Mushroom look. The only helmet I found there that I really liked was a Vega brand 1/2 shell. Gloss black. Least expensive one they sold. $60!! Try it, you may like it.
