Help me get my saddlebags installed

I have a 91 Sportster which I bought a few months ago. It came with some nice (old and beat up) saddlebags that I'm trying to mount on the bike. I can't figure out how they go on and I am not sure what kind of hardware I need to buy to mount them... Do they mount by replacing top bolt of the rear shock with a longer one? They didn't come with any screws or bolts. Thanks for any advice on this!

Thats a heck of a good guess. The problem is, I have no idea and you posted in a section that hardly anyone ever visits. Try posting up in the Sportster section, I just stumbled down here out of boredom.
