Just purchased my first HD ( 2010 Street Glide ). I added a V&H 2 to 1 power duals header pipe, along with dual Rinehart Slip On's and Arlen Ness Big Sucker kit. I also purchased a Screaming Eagle Super Tuner. I went in to have it Fully Dyno'd / Tuned but the dealer said I needed to have 1,000 miles on bike. I was told 500 miles which is where I'm at. Do you know if there is any truth to this? As I have read both. I was also wondering if anyone has used this combo and might know what I can expect to see on HP/Torque gains once I get it fully tuned? Any feedback would be appreciated..
I am not mechanic, but I think your dealer is right; they want your money, don't they?
Right now, your engine, and other parts are still "full" of excess, so 1000 miles is the ideal of cleaning all the craps, and you will notice the improvement of MPG, even after 500 miles.
It is my thinking, and of course, I am wrong 99% every time.
