Default OEM Part Number Cross Reference?

Does anyone know of a website where you can check and see what part will fit what by the part numbers,tried doing a search but all I come up with are online catalogs,Thanks

There is a cross referance out there. I don't know how current the numbering is... in other words it may only go to the mid nineties or so but around then I did see one printed by H.D. for their shop mechanics to use older parts that they had in stock.
