Default Baked on grasshopper

Anybody that knows Central Illinois knows is flat and full of cornfields. Well today I took a nice 100 mile ride around on the county roads and when I got home i found a large grasshopper baked on my front header pipe. i have tried everything in my cleaning cabinet to get the thing off without success. Darn insides just wont come off. Any suggestions? I have yet went with 0000 steel wool. may try that as last resort.

thanks
dogcop

Don't use steel wool on the chrome. Try easy off oven cleaner when the pipes are hot. Don't get any on the paint or rubber. I will spray some in a cup and apply with a cheap brush. Let it sit and wipe off. Wash with simple green and rinse well.
