Default Headlights quit

I was on my 99 Fatboy, coming back from a 4 hour ride, getting in a bit after dark.
Turning onto my street, my headlamp and passing lights went out.
Turn signals still work, then after about 50 yards, headlights came back on.
Ground wires and connectors under the seat look good and snug.

Any ideas?
Thanks!

Being you lost the headlight and passing lamps, it could be ground leg in the wiring or even a start of a bad ignition switch. You may also check the plug on the back of the headlight, a bad connection will cause heat and the plug can melt causing a bad connection.

Yeah, i agree; look for bad grounds; there is a wire at the fork bearings.
