1 has anybody used any of the sealers sold at dk or jp cycles?if so is there a better one to use or not use
2 im assumming the directions that come with the kit will be for a new tank
so is there anything diffrent with a used tank <im assumming ill be able to just scrape off the loose peices and apply the sealer?
3 does anybody have any tips or do and donts ?
thanks in advance for any help
you need to have a perfectly smooth surface to paint on, you wont get the desired results unless you prep the surface really well, others will chime in with the materials needed for the project.
Dennis Kirk or JPCycles probably has the kit.I put acetone in the tank and swirled it around with bb's to get all of the rust and loose liner out. Then,I followed the directions on the kit.Plan for it to take up most of your afternoon because once you put the sealer in the tank, you have to rotate the tank about every hour or so to get an even coat.
