don't know if this is the best catagory, but here goes:
put gear drive cams in my 02 injected electra glide. everything went smooth and it runs fine. here's the 'problem': at about 22-2300rpm, mostly on decel, it 'chirps'. don't know any better way to describe it. the sound doesn't affect anything but does get annoying sometimes. at first i figured it was gear noise and blew it off. wonder if it could be an exhaust sound? (it is hard to tell exactly where it is coming from, and it doesn't do it at idle, or even while standing still) seems like way back in my memory i remember car exhausts doing this sometimes.
question: anyone have an experience like this after cam job? any ideas as to what might cause it? any thoughts appreciated.
