98 sportster won't start

I have a 1998 Harley sportster, it sat for about 2 months and the battery went dead so I charged it up. After charging the bike now tries to turn over but just won't catch to start up. It has fire sor sure, and it is 3/4 full of gas, it's in neutral and I have tried it in gear also. I don't know if it's getting air, I don't know how to check that. Any suggestions??? Thanks for any help available

Check the quick connect on bottom of tank. Just push up on it. I just did the thread 07 street glide wont start and that's what it was. Heard of several others also
