Default Headlight Trim Ring

I installed a headlight trim ring on my FXDL today and try as I might I can't get it to completely close up on the bottom...upon looking at pics in the parts dream book, it seems like a lot of headlight trim rings don't close completely, anybody got any input on this? I really don't like that gap...grrrrr

I went out and looked at my setup to see if I could help. I have the optional 7" Chrome headlight bezel on my 2005 Fat Boy SE. It is HD # 69626-99. It is approx. 2 1/4" wide.It is one piece and attaches at the bottom with a screw. You can see it in my signature picture. There is no split in the ring.
What model is your bezel?
Tom

Something is keeping it from closing 100%. It should not have a space. It takes a little working, but go ahaed and take it off and if you have someone to help, see if they can hold it together while you install the screw and nut. They can be a pain, but you should be able to get it to fit right.
