Thanks for the input. You all have given me great things to consider before buying. I plan on renting both to see what I like. Since the wife is not to crazy about riding, I am leaning more towards to Dyna. Thanks again, and I will let you know what I decide. P.S. This site is great and so is the information
I have a superglide with highway pegs. the best of both worlds in my opinion. i really like the feel of the mid controls when I'm going thru the twisties, but the highway pegs feel oh-so-nice on the highway.
Whatever you do, decide for yourself. Try out all of the bikes that you dig and figure out which is best suited for your needs (as well as looks). After all, you're going to have to ride it.
I have a Dyna Wide Glide. I absolutely love it. Yes, the RK would be more comfortable for the long hauls but for the most part , I'm perfectly fine on my WG.
I would recommend working out a budget, keeping in mind that beautiful baby that you now have. Once you come up with what works for you, head to the local Harley shop and look them all over.
Get in the paper, go look at all of the used ones that are available. Something will just GRAB you, and you'll know.
I second the above assessment. You should ensure there is a cushion for the new addition to the family and then you can decide on the best HD for your particular needs.
