Need help with a Roland Sands gauge relocation kit
I am changing the risers, bars, and relocating the speedo on my 2008 XL 883 Custom. I'm using the Roland Sands gauge and headlight relocation kit to reposition the speedo.
The Roland Sands Gauge and Headlight relocation kit is intended as a "Cafe" style mod. The Speedo is moved up front and low while the headlight is lowered about 2 inches and goes mounted on the bottom (back plate) of the gauge.
The back plate comes with a con-caved protrusion for the headlight which just interferes with everything.
I am having a machine shop fabricate an identical back plate made flat to fit alongside the headlight.
Here is a pic of the original back/base plate for the gauge kit.

Has anyone modified their custom this way? I would like to see what the kit looks like installed on a Sportster Custom and would appreciate your pics.
