Default Harley Davidson 2-stroke?!?!

Hello.. my dad owns a Harley davidson 2-stroke.. its quite old and we are wondering how much it is worth. on the frame i believe it says 53 in the beginning of the vin number, so im guessing its a 1953 50th aniversery model.. It also says 47 on the frame seperate from the vin number.. I was kind of guessing that meant it was the 47th bike of that model made in 1953... Can some one correct me if i am wrong? Also, what year/etc did harley-davidson make a 2-stroke?

If the bike is in original condition it could be worth some real coin. If it has been repainted or restored it is worth less than an original, but find the right collector and ?

Harley had two ranges of 2-stroke, the post WW2 US built ones, based on a DKW, then Italian made ones when they bought Aermacchi. If you can post a photo on the internet and give us a link to it, or find an internet photo like yours, we can help a bit more.
