Default Memphis Shades Or National..who likes what?

I'm looking for a windshield for my Low Rider...does anybody have any advice on either Memphis Shades Slims or Natioanl Switchblade windshields? Also when you measure for the height is it from the top of the headlight? Any input would be greatly appreciated....

I ride an Electra-Glide, so I don't have either on it; however, I have another cruiser-style bike (the other "Brand H") that I installed a Memphis Shades "Fats" windshield on several years ago (actually, I bought it used, and it is much older, being the brand name of the firm before they changed it to Memphis Shades). The plastic is still in good to excellent condition, after years of use, and the mounting hardware is sturdy and easy to work with. The company offers exceptional support (some parts of the mounting system were missing when I received my used shield and mount, I wrote Memphis Shades requesting the parts and an invoice, they shipped all the parts gratis, only requesting that I make a donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital - definitely a class act). Also, their mount system(motorcycle specific) works with all their different windshield models (fats or slims, possibly others), no need to buy additional mounting hardware if you want to run different shields. As to measuring height, I don't remember, but there is a good guide on the Memphis Shades website. In summary, Memphis Shades offers high quality shields and mounts, with excellent support. I highly recommend them.

I've had both Memphis and National. The hardware and mount brackets on the National was stainless steel, while that on the Memphis was aluminum. I'll take stainless any day.

I put a Memphis Shades on the OL's Lowrider a couple of months ago. It want on easy and fits well. Took it for a run in the wind (it's always windy here!) and it handled it surprizingly well.
