Just received my Clearview windshield...have the detachable hardware on my new/used bike...the '05 Road King Custom doesn't come with a windshield so I'm not replacing one...so...I have no hardware to re-use...which leads to my questions...
What hardware will I need to mount it? I know I need the chrome "cross bars"that mount on the windshield (I'm not surewhat the official term is) and what else? If y'all have the part numbers that would be great...
I cannot give you the parts numbers but just go to the dealer parts person and tell him what you need.
You need two vertical brackets and one horizontal brace. Actually, that would be six pieces for front and back plus the screws/bolts and acorn nuts. You probably need the parts for the standard RK windshield but that depends on which shield that you ordered. Count the holes in the shield and measure the distances between the horizontal holes.
