several freeway rides with heavy in the face winds made me decide to get a quick release windshield. went to the dealer and ordered pn 57716-01 (i have passing lights).
got the shield today, but it has no mounting hardware!!
can this be right? anyone bought a windshield lately? cant believe that the dealer would sell me just part of what i need to mount this thing- but then every time i order from the dealer something seems to not go right-
You would think the Windshield would come with the mounting brackets. But that's more money for them, I guess, sell them separately like that.
yes- and for me the most important part is why dont they train their parts people to check for required parts when they sell something? at least they coulda asked if i had the mounting hardware... then they would have another sale. instead i will find the missing parts online-
i call this lose/lose- i lose out cause i cant do my install when i have the time to do it (today), and they lose because they lost a sale and pissed off a customer.
I didn't like the look of harley's so I went online and found a good looking one for about 65 dollars shipped and it mounts to the bars and detaches on about 5 seconds and the brackets were included and it really cut down on the headwinds!
