Hello, pretty new to the forums, I ride a 1986 fxrs-sp and love the machine and ride the **** out of it.

But I also would like to build my own twin cam fxr, starting with the mods that id like, a project that I would go on to finish in the next few years,

Catch is, im not as adept to motorcycles as in to just jump in and build the thing, I have friends who are car enthusiasts with slight knowledge of motorcycles and I myself am a decent welder/metal fabricator.

So if anyone would be kind enough to point me to where I can start, books, dvds, first parts, and how much would it be to start my project and work on
