So what do you guys think? I have a 2010 ultra limited with the original battery, is it time to replace it? It seems to be good and has been on a tender over the winters. Thanks

When it starts laboring to turn the motor over its time to replace. My 2010 RKC hasn't had any issues yet.
I bought my 10 R'King in Dec of 09. I now have 49K on it. Start it twice per winter, stored in 40-55 degree heated trailer. No issues yet with 4 plus years on it.
Run a meter on the terminals...if you're @ 12.8V it's good. No need to swap, unless you're experiencing problems. If so, batterymart.com is a great place to get your replacement. If they have your battery in stock - it's a quick turn-around. 4-5 yrs is average for stock battery, but some get more. I just swapped the "original" battery in my 03 XL1200S so it lasted 11-yrs.
Replaced the battery in my 04 last august,(9 years) just replaced that battery last week..(9 months) was on a tender all winter. My indy replaced at n/c was defective, would only hold 10v
Just replaced the battery in my 07 FXD that was built in 6-06,it started struggling to start last summer when warm and would not start it below the mid 50s without a jump. When a battery gets over 4 years old start paying attention to how it starts and you will know when to replace,I bought a aftermarket battery and curious on how long its going to last.
Last weekend we helped a guy with a Dyna that wouldn't crank. Battery was dead and shorted. We could jump start the bike and it ran fine but as soon as we disconnected his battery from the other bike, it shut off the engine. Problem is that with some battery the lead plates get out of shape to the point where they short under heavy load. At that point the battery won't hold any charge and you can't run the bike . I change batteries in all my vehicles every 4 years max.
I like the 4year replacement deal myself. It seems to me that if you buy a battery that has a 36month warranty, you can count on it not lasting more than 6 months added to that. I know some do but I don't count on it myself. So in my opinion if you have a battery that is warrantied for xx months, get a new replacement within the added 6 months after that. I feel the same way with tires, I don't wait for them to be worn out before I replace them. Batteries and tires are very high on my priority list for replacement care.
