shooter64 AND TexasBowhunter...

I thoroughly apologized to you both for the payment and shipment delays. I am away from home weeks at a time working. So that was the hinderance with these 2 transactions. Again, I apologize to you gentlemen once again.

in response to a couple of posts here.
Surdyke.. Have ordered parts from them numerous times. Other than not being the speediest shippers in the world, my experiences with these guys has been stellar to say the least.

American Classic Motors.. Again, have ordered numerous times from them. First time was a set of V&H slip ons. 2 days later they were at my door. A few months later bought thunder header slip ons and same service. Wrecked the bike about 2 years later, called them up with the order number from previous and they shipped another pair of slip-ons expeditiously.

I guess my point is, be careful what you are ordering. If you don't know the exact part # you're looking for, FIND IT BEFORE YOU ORDER. This goes for ANY orders you place on the internet for ANYTHING, not just bike parts.

Hey.. Happy Holidays to all.

Todd

I'm leaving my bad experience with American Classic Motors, via eBay.(I hope this isn't for individual members, but rather 'bike shops' and the like.) Anyways, they're selling Sportster shocks as a fits all. They list the individual bikes: Dyna, Softail, etc. But what they send you is a Sportster shock #412-4005. Way to light of spring rate for the heavier bikes. The "tech" seems to disregard the whole gravity/spring rate formula, saying "that's what the Drag Specialties Catalog says.."And they tried the old 're-stock fee' game, too. And in addition, they've left bad feedback on eBay. I'm currently fighting with eBay over this whole mess.

Buyer Beware if you plan on buying from American Classic Motors on eBay!!

I had like experience from them on defective helmet....total Jerks to deal with.[:@]

Posted to sale a seat on 12/7 Pm'ed within minutes. Exchanged a few e-mails.
He did not have a Paypal account so I asked how he wanted his payment, haven't heard from him since 12/11.
this was the last I heard form him on the 11th.....
"Hey, I'm a pretty trusting, low stress guy. I take people at their word. And if I get burned, I fly a helicopter with guns on it and will hunt thebad guydown! Just kidding, of course. If you want the seat, it's yours. As you can see by the posts on the site, others are banging at the door but you're first in line."

I think he sold the seat to someone else.
whatever

I'd like to say something good about Surdyke HD. When I found them online, three years ago, they were the only source I could find with around 20% discount. I got the EXACT part numbers I needed from my local HD stealer, then ordered from Surdykye.

They always shipped what I ordered, and I built almost an entire EVO with their parts. Nothing but good to say about them.

Caveat emptor, or BUYER BEWARE...........or, ya get whacha ordered.

Good luck, guys.

****** SCION888 ******

This ebay seller of license plate frames should be avoided.

He sales them as "Chrome" or Stainless Steel or Aluminum.
They are poorly plated with stickers as the lettering. They will rust within a month or two - ask me how I know.

It looks like Harley has caught up to them and made them stopped selling with their brand name.
