my jug fan just went up after about 18 months, not bad. my oil cooler fan went up last year and instead of buying a whole new unit i opted to replace the fans with 2 sealed units that cost me about $50/ea. not sure if i want to replace the fan in the jug unit or just buy a new assembly, decisions, decisions. will probably just take the easy way out and buy a new unit. do they work? well i haven't burnt my engine up yet and i run lowers on my 110ci all year long and have been through heat so bad i wish i had one installed in my helmet. it is what it is and i will be getting another one, it's a little cheaper than a new v-rod
I have a lenale fan had it for a lot of miles. They can and do stand up to water I ride in rain all the time.
My first one failed. Lenale replaced it and that one still doing well . I took it off my 07 and and installing it on my 2011.
If you want one I sugest you go to lenale and get it not an after market supplier.
there are fakes out there and so called indys and after market suppliers of all kinds of parts just do not stack up well.
Lenale did right by me and I stand by them.
Just as an update.. Used my Lenale Fan several times on the way to Sturgis and Back in heavy traffic and many times stuck downtown there .. Still works as well when I first bought it..
Check out the UltraCool oil cooler with the built in fan. I run one on my bike as do the other two people at the shop. No issues whatsoever and my bike gets wet weekly. I can get you a discount on teh UltraCool as well. Email me at DREW@DRVTWIN.COM UltraCool takes care of business too. No need for them to come on here and defend their selves for this particular reason.
