That's probably Fat Man Inn that you're referring to...big crowds gather there on Sundays. It's on Route 41 at the intersection of IL-21 (Milwaukee Ave). Another Sunday morning gathering spot for bikers is The Full Moon Restaurant...also on Route 41, just south of IL-137 (Buckley Rd) in North Chicago/Lake Bluff area.
There's 2 Fatman's locations....One on Rt 176 just east of Lakeshore Harley Davidson and the original location out on Rt 41,but you're correct that it's the Rt 41 location draws bikes/crowds on Sundays.
We've used the Full Moon as a meeting location, breakfast there is decent.
Although both spots are ok,most of the time I usuallyget out of Illinois andinto S.E Wisconsin as soon as possible...
Is it spring yet.......leaving for the dealer show at the end of the month. At least I'll be able to hand around
some of the guys in the industry and see some of the new product out. As soon as the weather breaks I'll
post a ride. Also I want to do a pig roast at the house.
Yeah right suppose to be a high of 8 tomorrow. After my ride last week I did decide to get the gerbings union ridge pants so I could start to ride again. Day after I placed the order salts back on the roads, figures. LOL
Enjoy the show and post us on what new and wonderful things are coming out for our bikes, so we will know how to spend Bush's tax rebate.
The Fatman on 41 huh? I go by there once in awhile, but I didn't know it was a Sunday gathering spot. I noticed that a lot of money was recently poured into that place - looks real nice now. It used to look like adive. I'll have to check it out some Sunday.

Looking forward to that pig roast...have fun at the show. Oh ...and see if you can get some freebies from the show! I'll be watching the board for the first rides for sure!
