If you're up on the north end of Janesville, near the HD dealer, you can take Rt. 14 east to County 'A' and take 'A' all the way to Rt. 12. Jump on Rt. 12 south towards Lake Geneva, then you can grab Interstate 43 to Milwaukee or you can take Rt. 12 all the way to Lake Geneva and jump on Hwy. 50 east and take that all the way to Interstate 94, head north right in to Milwaukee.
I live in Illinois, but take the back roads to Janesville quite often. Nice riding, beats the heck out of the Interstate.
