Well we are just going to have to make it a "good thread" again! the season will be in full swing soon. anyone from the Midwest going to Sturgis?
Couple of years ago used to get quite a few rides together with Chicago area,North Western IL and Southern Wisconsin riders posting here in this section, still riding with some of those guys.
Sturgis ? Rode there last year, but hit it 2 weeks before the Rally, planning on doing it again this year the same way - Everything's open,a few people are starting to show up,just did it for the ride and to see the sights.Lodging prices are normal then too,but triple the rate or higher 2 weeks later.Plenty of crazy Rallys right here in the Midwest...
Don't want to hyjack the thread, but the Blessing of the bikes in Bladwin Mi is a nice ride once you get out of the city May 15-16. I was also suppose to leave for Memphis in May on those same dates (not sure if I'm going yet), then black3 mentioned a ride to Shawnee I'd be game for that? Plusif you never rode with Black 3 before, he's a great guide. Then we have around the lake maybe 2nd week of June? We meed to pick something.
Also my son has a friend that owns a Holiday in in Countryside Ilinois great place for parking and a nice pool area. That could be a base area and we could do a ride from there out a long the Illinois River one and maybe Chicago the next or maybe out west to Geneva Illinois nice town and a few bars? The Effingham party organized by the forum was awesome. Oya there's a bar south of Kankakee in a town surrounded by corn fields anothe great distanation. Just some suggestions???
