Bummer! Hope your friend changes his mind at some point.
I sent my buddy Jimmy the link to this thread as he may be on board for the trip now... I told him we may have a tour guide for the day in dsbfxdwg... LOL and he was intrigued.
Drop him a line to convince him this Milwaukee trip is going to be a blast, and the cream puffs at the state fair too...

Cool! Glad to hear Jimmy is reconsidering! It's a great time of the year to come to Milwaukee with a lot of stuff to do.
Sorry I haven't got back to you sooner. I was out of town doing a Lake Michigan Circle Tour the past week. There are some pics from our trip in this thread
I have my 5 year old daughter the weekend you will be here, but I should be able to arrange an afternoon that I can meet you guys for a ride if you decide to make the trip. There are a lot of great roads not too far from Milwaukee that make for some great riding.

If there are two things we have plenty of around the Chicago area is lots of flat and lots of straight. If you come into Chicago, that dealer is on Harlem and Roosevelt Rd. (Rt. 38). Get west as quick as you can as in take 38 west and get out toward the west burbs. Once there you can make your way north through the fox lake/chain of lakes area and up into Lake Geneva as earlier suggested. Lots of cool little roadhouses along the way. The Broken Oar and Blarney Island are some of the local favorites.
