Sidecar shock absorber
Been hearing a clunking noise over bumps that seemed to be coming from the sidecar. Found the lower shock mount rubber bushing on the sidecar shock disintegrated and missing with only the 1/2" mount bolt going through the shock mount hole, about 1 1/4" diameter, thus the clunk. Of course, nobody local would have a shock bushing for a Hannigan sidecar, so I bought a generic one and modified it to fit. Good enough for now, but the area was pretty oily, so I suspect the shock is leaking. I'll get one ordered to replace it. Changed the motor oil and filter while I was at it, planning on a road trip next week. Hack has about 30,000 miles on it, some of that on pretty rough roads, so I guess I can't complain.
