Possible to swap upper shock mount bolt size
I have an 02 low rider. Ordered 490 progressive shocks in September and didnt realize until now they sent me the shock for 06-17 low rider. The only difference that I see is the upper shock mount bolt that is currently on my bike is to large for the shock.
Has anyone tried to just replace the upper shock bolt with one for an 06+ and had success?
Cant return the shocks now and if I can make these work for my bike rather than trying to sell them and buy new ones Id like to try as long as it is safe to do so. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Probably your best bet is going to be somehow switching out the bushing in the upper part of the shock. That's probably how Progressive does it. Call them up and see if they can help you with that. They've got an 800 number and are pretty good with customer service.
