Hacked, Conversions and Trailering"Harley Sidecar, Conversion Trikes and Motorcycle Pull Behind Trailering Enthusiasts"
A forum for the discussion of your sidecar, Conversion Trike or Pull Behind Motorcycle Trailer.
I just looked at one at my local dealer here in Ottawa Ill. Red with many added options. The trike was sold waiting for pickup. It was sweet looking. Not ready for one yet but made me think about one....
I saw that one also. As far as I know the owners wife was taking that one. Iv'e got mine ordered thru Princeton dealer. They haven't even got there first one in yet.
Hopefully you will get your Tri Glide before next summer. Mine was due in this month and I was just informed it has been pushed back to Jan. or Feb. It is only the second one my dealer is getting. I am very disappointed to say the least.
That sucks,I'm suppose to get mine in December.
Did they tell you what the reason for the delay was?
I figured it would be a blizzard when mine got here.
I called a few other dealerships in my state and they said that they are having the same problem. The ones that were due Nov. and Dec. have been pushed back a few months. Since this will be my first Trike, I was hoping to be able to have it before the weather got terrible as I want to ride it to Daytona Bike week. Not sure I will be ready now. There is a red one sitting in NY on the floor that hasn't been sold. I called them yesterday, but now I see why. First of all they wouldn't tell me the price, but did say it was a lot more then what my dealer is charging and they weren't very friendly or helpful.
The first thing will be add a little color to it. I ordered a black one. Then I will probably have to build a trailer hitch for it. And eventually change the wheels, and of coarse add a bunch of chrome.
I emailed them for a quote on Friday. I had a missed call on my cell from them the following Wednesday? Not the best way to sell a bike.
I have known the sales manager and his wife for around 25 years and let him know about your dissatisfaction. He is a great guy and I am sure he will want to know.
