No need to remove the windshield. Normally, I stand on the left side of the bike and reach across and grab her right hand to help her balance. She puts her right foot on the step, stands up and puts her left foot onto the seat, swings her right foot in, turns and sits on the top of the seat back, puts both feet in the floor, and then slides down.
If I'm not there helping, same thing with the feet, but she places her left hand on the seat back and right hand across to the padding on the left side of the hack.
Either way, it takes longer to explain it that it takes for her to get in.
Hope this isn't confusing.
