I'm putting a deposit down Saturday for a new trike. I'm trading in a Electra Glide. I was just wondering if anyone missed riding on two wheels since they made the switch. I haven't had the chance to test ride one because nobody has any to demo-ride. The TG must be a good ride because I'm sure seeing a lot of them. Just wondering how everyone like their TD. Thanks.
I rode on two wheels for over 35 years and I do not miss it one bit. I wish they had come out with the Tri Glide a long time ago. It only took about 50 miles to get use to the difference.
I Like my TG . I just miss the lean of two wheels. But If I had only one choice For my age and comfort and the OL likeing and feeling safe the TG hands down. Congrats enjoy good health when you pick up your new TG. You getting RED,BLUE, or BLACK

I'm being a piggy, I have a 2010 TG on order and I'm keeping my 06 Ultra so I can pick the bike as the mood strikes me.
I certainly do not miss riding two wheels espically when I can travel longer distances and basically be refreshed at the end of the day. It has also improved the comfort level for my wife, she loves it. I do have one advantage, if I want to ride a two wheeler I just borrow one from Msocko3. I have no problem riding a two wheeler as long as it is not two up ( bad knees ) which I do 90% of the time.

Ditto ....
Lynn traded her 07 Street Glide in on a 2010 (delivery suppose to be late Aug / early Sept)
but still has her 2002 Dyna to ride. Maybe if you can pickup another bike .... LOL ....
Actually around here HD's are cheap compared to years ago. We were at the
Dealer 2 weeks ago and a guy just bought a super clean Low Rider with 20,000 miles
on it for $6500 (the bike was in MINT shape).
Rob .....
Thanks for the all the info. Age, comfort of the wife and all of the above was the deciding factor. Like Carlo leaning into a long sweeping curve will be about the only thing I'll miss. No more white knuckle rides on a really windy day. I told the dealer color wasn't an issue. I'll let you all know when I get it. Thanks again.
Just returned from a 1,170 mile, 6-day trip to WA/OR....TG was loaded down with 'stuff'' (have to take everything you know). No problems whatsoever and trike was a joy to ride.
You will miss the two wheel ride when it comes to local, short or maybe day trips. The Triglide is a road running machine. I made a 7000 mile trip and it was an awesome ride. The long ride comfort cannot be beat. I traded my Road King in when I bought my Triglide and I wish I would have keep it. Now I have a Fatbob for shorter rides. If you can swing the deal without trading the Elect Glide, keep it.
