You can have radials in the front and bias ply on the rear. Radials will out perform the bias tires, especially on slick roads
You are correct. Radials will out perform bias every day of the week. But I'm not sure what radials on the rear and bias on the front equate to on a trike.
The thing that gets me with having the bias tire on the front is that its designed for a two wheel bike. Its crowned for the lean angle of the bike. I have worn out one front tire right down the middle in 15k miles.
You would think since these trike are becoming more common place Harley and Dunlop would be working proactively on a tire suited for trikes.....
You could probably run a car tire on the front like some do on the rears of bikes. It sure would put alot more contact patch on the road and would'nt be near as bad as running a car tire on a two wheeler like some do.
