I can not to afford to buy mufflers for my 2010 TG, so I thought I would drill out the stock one's. I look in the ends & the two are completely different. What is that all about?????

The left and right are different, that is how HD tuned the exhaust. There are a lot of people who drill or punch out the stock mufflers with the end results being more racket with sometimes a less than pleasing tone. My advise is to save some bucks and get a decent set of mufflers.

I don't know about the 2010's but my 2008 Ultra/Champion had 70% of the exhaust flowing out the right side and 30% flowing out the left side due to the crossover pipe. In stock configuration, free flowing mufflers allowed air to be sucked back into the left side when the right side exhausted. I bought a set of Kuryakyn Crusher mufflers and they advised that I install the included "blanking disc" in the left muffler, effectively making the stock exhaust system a two into one. I didn't like that idea so I went the True Dual route with Rinehart pipes and Rush 1 3/4" slip-on's. That also involved buying a fuel management system and free flowing air cleaner and having it tuned for the combination.
I recommend you wait until the aftermarket exhaust industry catches up with the 2010 models and there is more out there to choose from. It's disheartening to spend a small fortune on an exhaust system, tuner etc. just to find it's not what you expected and then six months later "the best thing since canned beer" hits the market and you're left wishing you had waited.

They will take your stock mufflers, gut them, and add removable baffles. Much cheaper. I'm sure someone will jump in who has them and comment.
Well my finacial advisor (wife) told me to get mufflers. I just installed a set of Thunderheaders slip on's. Wow,great sound & I think I picked up a little low end. I already had Xied & SE air. Now maybe some heat wrap.
