Speedometer question
Just bought a 2016 Street 750. Does anybody know if the harness to the speedometer carries the rpm's and gear position information like most all of the other Harley's? I replaced my speedo on my LR-S with one from a Pro-Street Breakout (Has a tach) and everything on it works perfect. Changed one on 2 sportster and they worked too. I just wonder if one from a 2017 Street would be plug and play? Those look the same but have all the info I want, just on the small screen. All I would need to do is wire in a small switch for the toggle. Any ideas? By the way, didn't get a 2017 because I got a new left over '16 for $2400 cheaper!

I can't say for certain, but I do know that the 17+ have a different wiring harness. It's likely you can't just swap out the speedo to a 2017 unit. The most common option folks use seems to be hooking up an FP3.

I wonder if that's in the programming or in the cluster. I'd hate to buy a replacement 2017 cluster only to find out it was in the ECM. I'll have to get a part # and price for the '17 cluster and if it's not too bad I may experiment. Thanks lh4x4.

Great. I'll try swapping the cluster in a few days. Gotta find the best place to buy one 1st. Also, I just installed Fuel Motos H4 LED headlight bulb. Really bright! I'll report later on the road pattern.
