Missus is getting a Street 500 within the next two months so I'm starting to plan out the mods that she wants done to it and along with changing the rear fender and gas tank, she also wants to ditch the alloys in favour of spoked rims. I'm starting this thread to document my research and the process. I've seen a couple of cases where people have fitted Sportster wheels onto the Street but no real good information on what was required. I did find a blog post from ENGINEERED TO SLIDE who built a 750 hillclimber with Dyna wheels on it and while he didn't go into huge detail he did make it sound quite easy. This could actually work out well because it just so happens that I have a 2019 FXBB that has 19X2.5" front and 16X3" rear wheels from the factory and I'm in the process of changing them for 21X2.15" & 17X4.5" respectively. So I'll have some near new perfect wheels to start the swap.
Will post updates as they happen.
Feel free to share any links or personal experience in regards to the wheel swap if relevant.
This is a bit more information that could be useful to some of you. So I'm assuming an 18" is the largest you can go on the front with the standard fender, can't see anything else stopping me from putting on a 19"X2.5"
Hi Birtyy. How did you go with the wheel swap. Sorry I dug around and came across this thread. I bought my son an Xg on the weekend and had thoughts of putting a 19" HD wheel same as you. .Alex Port Melbourne

Hi Alex,
Never ended up going ahead with it. I had a new sporty tank and fender, had new spoked wheels and then she decided that she wanted a bigger bike so I sold all the parts. Shame because I was looking forward to this project. So can't really help I'm afraid.
