Don't know if it applies to the Street bikes, but in general if the ECM does not detect compression in the cylinder (as with the spark plug out) it won't send power to the plug wires. You need to use an inline spark tester.
It will spark with the plug out. Bike has no way to tell if it has compression or not.
He needs a code reader. With out one is makes things a lot hard to track down or to eliminate as a cause.
2015 Street will not display DTC in the speedometer .
After check the kill switch AKA Engine shut off switch.
The ignition switch needs to be check.
