Report back to "general" Forums about any effects from your adventure with extremely low idle. Wait, I help you on what to look for , little to no oil pressure, little to no charge rates to your battery and/or the bottom end of your engine being beaten to death. Please let us know. While I do not disagree that an idle of 650 is hard on the junk cranks Harley is putting in the twin cam, does anyone claiming low oil pressure and charge rate have an oil pressure gauge or own a dvom AND have the ability to lower the idle to check their "theory"?
I do. At 750 rpm on a 100° day, oil pressure runs 22psi and charge volts are 13.9.
On MY bike.
Stop worrying about the oil and charge and concentrate on the real problem. The cheap-azz crank and bearing they screwed the twin cam with.
