Very stupid. Saw a guy when I was seven at the beach ride a wheelie for 1/4 mile. All he was wearing was shorts and a helmet. Lost control of the bike and layed it down. The bike and he went for quite some distance on their side.
Everyone rushed to see if he was ok. He had cracked the helmet in two and there was very little skin left on his body. Died shortly thereafter.
Doesn't stop me from riding a bike but it does make me ride one smarter.
I heartily encourage riding with no gear at all. tends to clear up the traffic congestion after awhile since there are less vehicles on the road. I'm sure these guys have the same argument...Big government ain't going to tell me what I have to wear, etc. same argument we heard about seatbelts. Course, you and me have to pay more for bike and medical insurance because of these idiots.

I've heard that some of these guys ride a scoot upright for so long, they burn up the motor for lack of oil?
I'm not familar with their oil pumping system, so I don't know, but that would be ...interesting
