Cant understand why they would take things being a police officer. They should be there to protect, not to loot. It's a sad day to see this happen.

I heard that on the 2nd day, the gangs from Memphis, Atlanta, etc, arrived with trucks and boats and hit the jewelry stores, banks, etc.

Please don't judge Cop by the video. A few bad apples such as seen on the video should be brought to justice but under the circumstance of the hurricane there wasn't enough cop to do much. Still not excuse to steal.

Prison? Why? They didn't break any laws. They were simply civil servants who quit they're jobs. Given how bad things were, I don't know if I can blame them. I DO have a problem with the ones who disappeared when they were needed then returned later and thought they should get their jobs back...

I've seen this clip before, and as a 32 year Cop it makes me sick.

Food-yes, water-yes, shoes??

i live in the new orleans area.ill tell it how i see it.in the area there are ALOT of bad elements.its a great place to live just alot of people looking for something for free.as far as corruption there is corruption every where you go.thestorm made n.o.la. look very bad to the entire country but its still standing.it is easy to find the bad but the good or decent are standing behind and are a little hard to see.the media made everything alot worse than it really was.i had to watch this in little rock arkansas and i admit it was scarry as hell.alot of tragedy.this storm was a wake up call for me i didnt loose anything and that told me to start getting my stuff together before i let life go by.
