This thread is for anyone who plans to attend or lives near a major rally and wants to volunteer to serve as an official HDForum Mascot Road Captain for the event. The position will include assisting the moderator in planning and coordinating the movements in and out of the rally. Planning, and leading a Mascot ride for the rally. Ensuring the rules for signing and carrying the mascot are followed (See Mascot Rules post).
Other tips for Road Captains planning their Mascot Rides:
If possible try to limit the number of days the Mascot is at the rally so it does not stay stagnet too long. 2-3 days should be enough. Ideally you should schedule one day when all the HDForums members attending the rally can be present for the Mascot ride. At the end of the ride, preferabley at a suitable party location, everyone will sign the Mascot and have a picture taken and then procede to get down and party. This should theoreticlly be able to be accomplished in one day. Afterwards, it should be moved out with someone who is heading in the direction where the mascot is scheduled to go next.
Please post here if you are attending a rally and want to be a road captain for the event.
