hello everyone this is where i am at. i have a 2015 harley tri-glide i took off my power vision from my trade-in. i need to get a new 6-pin cable and buy a new tune license both for 225.00 so i can marry my power vision to my tri-glide. i know about doing a stage-one change. i have a set of tailgunner gunships on the side along with a set of v&h classic turn-down mufflers. could,nt i change just the air filter to a free flow and put either set of muffler,s on? and tune the bike to this set-up? i have checked into a set of v&h dresser duals i like them alot i do not care for the x-style exhaust. there is a cost to all of this we all know that for sure. to lessen the pinch! i was thinking to just maybe start with the power vision and tune the stock tri-glide? has anyone ever started at this point? to just tune the stock bike and see the difference? if any? i can start with the cost of 225.00 alot easier than forking over 800.00 to 1,000.00 even though that might be where i end up? thank you all.

No reason you can't start stock and tune. I believe there is am 'improved Stock' base tune available...or you could just do a few autotune runs on the stock tune. The improved stock base tune is probably preferable as they tend to be pretty lean from the factory.
You can retune after you add the stage-1 components.
I use my PV on two bikes with an additional license and think it's a very cost effective way to go. The second bike can be tuned for ~$200. I'm very happy with the results.
If you get the tune license from FM he will send a map for your new application. Don't think it matters if the PV originally came from them or not. The upgrade will get you the new tune. If that doesn't work out shoot me a Private Message with your email and I will send you a map. Make sure to send description of what you need.

I agree FM is the way to go. Jamie helped me get mine corrected. I went with the PV and purchased a new license.
thank you all for the reply,s. i will buy the new license and 6-pin cable. and then do a auto-tune of the stock bike. when i had this on my 2012 ultra i did all kinds of changes to it and ran many auto-tunes. the bike never missed a beat. ever! thanks everyone and have a safe riding season. roaddog007
i did get with fuel moto and bought a new license for my power vision and a map from jamie for my set up. at this time i just had a fuel moto pro-billet air cleaner which i like a lot because it fits right under the stock cover. i did do 1 auto-tune on my tri-glide for about 20min and did flash it to the bike. there were alot of hits in the log map but i expected that. i have not added the tailgunners yet or the v&h classic turn-downs which i know will be loud. i do know the tailgunners will be quieter which is what i like on the tri-glide. thank you all for the replys. have a safe riding season. roaddog007
