Intermittent Ignition Failure

Quick update --- the Road King now has about 1200 miles with the new starter relay. The original problem (failure to start engine) occurred just one time within the first 100 miles, but it has started without problem ever since. I am not ready to claim a "cure" until she has a few thousand miles without problem.
If the problem resume with the same frequency prior to starter relay replacement, I may replace the starter switch. The bike was getting electrical power, so I believe that may logically rule out the ignition switch. The kill switch is rarely used, so it should have minimal wear.
The comments and advice are appreciated. I want to keep this bike as long as possible, so I would hate for a minor, nagging problem like this cause me to lose confidence in the bike for the long hauls.
