2001 fxdwg, been working on this issue, I have code D025et and CEL... But Everthing works fine, vss sensor replaced, coil replaced, good working speedometer replaced speedometer, and odometer great. All lights self cancel turns work fine.... So how can this cel and code be on and no problems with bike srarti g running, idling?

Yes sir, they use the 5, as an S, I did find out some info, I have 12 vdc going into the speedometer, however on the red wire that comes out of speedometer to give power to the vss... Its only 11.60 vdc.? I think it should be 12 vdc, Which could be why the "brains? Ecu".. Is giving the code d02 of a bad sensor.. Vss, when in fact it's a speedometer issue... I have more tests to do. I need to see also what the return SIGNAL wire (white) voltage is coming back to the speedometer ?

UPDATE! UPDATE! LOL, So not happy with my progress, I thought about it, and went back to the beginning, I put in my original coil, I added new vss. I have original speedometer in. Started bike and no CEL., Great.. Starts and idles fine. Took it for a ride.. And speedometer, odometer are fine, the self cancel turns work great. 20,30 miles.. Then home.. Everthing is working. The only thing I tried was 1, remove the odometer code D02. But it did not clear... I also found out there is another way to clear code with my habdle bar turn signal buttons, originally I activated this and found turn signal lights flashing 21 code #? I forget what that was but it's gone... Then today I did it again and found code 31 flashing, that was for tssm low pwr. Alarm? I don't have tssm, or alarm.. Unless first owner had and never cleared this.. But i cleared it. So back home Everthing is great. . If any new crap happens I will update... Damn I learned a lot this week..ol
