Default EFI Conversion

Hi All, I have recently purchased a 2018 Fat bob and installed Powervision. Have been enjoying mucking around with the PV and Tunes. This has got me to thinking of maybe converting my 2003 Softail to EFI. The Bike was carby from new. I removed the 95 and put in a 2007 110 screaming eagle motor had it built by Steve at GMR Performance.Makes good horsepower and torque 100/115 Running a 45 mikuni and twin tec ignition. Gone Back to Kerker 2 into 1 exhaust. Question is What would be needed to convert to EFI as far as computer on bike and wiring. The Heads still have plugs for wiring connection not sure about crank position sensor. Anyway has got me to thinking what I might get out of it with EFI. Any Info Appreciated Cheers. (due to time difference replys might be delayed)

Can be quite expensive if you but new parts- ECM, wiring harness, fuel pump, plate, filter, rail, check valve, throttle body, injectors, temp sensor, IAC motor, TPS, Tuner, etc- could be a couple thousand dollars or more.

Yeah I looked into it as well and way too rich for me.Carb is well tuned and AFR almost resembles a fuelie. it would be sweet but a lot of money to spend and I bet your ride runs excellent as mine does.It would make it a lot more precise on fuel mngt but the simplicity of the carb I love and can be problem solved most of the time on the side of the road. It has its advantages and Im sure you may agree. But to want it to be F.I. is a wish.......but cant afford it and figure its an older ride and kinda fits the bike IMO

Honestly, for what it will take and what you will gain, I would highly advise against it.

I believe the harness you need is obsolete.

Besides, your fuel tank is for a carbureted bike. I do not believe it will accept the EFI fuel pump module so you are also looking at a tank and paint.

Yeah Ok Dumb Idea. I do like what is now considered old School lol. didn't think of a few of items like tank etc. Will keep playing with the fat bob. Don't think it will out run the old Softail just yet but we will see. Cheers
