Default Fuel management

So im planning on a big bore and cams in a few months. It's a 2006 road king with a 88". I currently have 4" dna slip ons and big sucker. What kind of fuel management will work for my bike and what brand Is recommended for making the most power. All input is appreciated. Thx

My vote is for the Thundermax with Autotune. (Disclosure: I own one). It will be flexible enough for whatever mods you do now and in the future.

V&H FuelPak will accommodate stage 2 mods, contact V&H for different map.

Bad tappets I was under the impression that it was just stage 1 upgrades. Hmmmm, I'm gonna have to contact them cause if that's the case I can do cams and pushrods first and save for the next stage..... Much thanks for your input.

i would tell you to use a PCV or if you want to move up to flash tuning, the choose a TTS Mastertune or Powervision set up. Flash tuning takes more work but can have very precise results if done with a dyno. the PCV is an excellent unit also and much easier to work with than the old VH units and much more precise.

I had the led fuelpak on my 06 ultra and worked fine with Stage 1. I installed Andrews 21 cams when replacing the tensioners. The maps provided by V&H resulted in low mpg and never ran like you would expect with the cams. In contacting V&H for another map, customer service stated that they had provided the maps they had available and the cams were beyond fuelpak's tuning capability.

I am now running a Power Vision with AT Pro (yes, I changed the head pipes out for V&H Dresser Duals for an 07 -08 for the 02 sensor bungs) Fuel Moto rocks, new map and AT sessions, my 06 (still an 88 inch) runs awesome. Expensive, yes but I haven't looked back, I have retuned a few times with new add ons.

I have an led fuelpak collecting dust and I am sure I am not the only one. While i did all the work on mine, My indy has about 10 used ones hanging on the wall

I had just the opposite experience. I put 21N cams in my '06; got a new map from V&H and runs really well.

I appreciate all the replies. Knowledge is power! The long run is cams and jugs, possibly stroke it. Money, time, and if breakouts go for a lower price I might not even get further than cams. Enjoying all the comments.

Glad it worked for you. I was only getting 32 mpg and ran like a dog. My local Indy does Dyno and rode my Ultra before and after the tuner change. He wanted to know what I did to it.
