PC III Serial Cable:
Does the serial PCIII use a standard serial cable to laptop? Just recieved a PCIII designed for serial comm from Ebay, but all documentation and cables are for a USB system, typical Ebay experiance. Sometimes companies change the serial wiring for more proprietory control. Thanks.

I have the PCIIIr model that uses the serial connector too. I found the cable I needed at Staples. I use my laptop to make changes or check the map, throttle position, etc. You can download the program and the manuals from the Power Commander website. Don't try to use the USB program because it only recognizes the newer units and the maps are in a different format. The older program will work just fine.
