I just had a D&D Fatcat 2-into-1 exhaust, SERT and Arlen Ness Big Sucker installed on my 06 Dyna Street Bob. They did an hour dyno tune and here's my results.
They said they thought their machine was off by 5. Like gjerb, I didn't really know what to look for in all this. I didn't get a pre-tuned chart, just the one printout. It's my first time dealing with this shop and with the dyno tuning so I don't know if these results are any good. I also don't know what calibration they used with the SERT. Can one of you kind experts critique my dyno and let me know if I need to go back and talk to the shop to retune? Thanks!
Sorry, can't make out the attachment. But what you can tell from your printout is the A/F reading at all rpm. Should be around 3.7 Next, if you don't have a baseline hp and tq I would suggest comparing your results against the factory specs available from HD. Also, see how it runs.....no bogging down on acceleration, no backfire on decel etc. Hope this helps.

I haven't ridden more than 10 miles on it, but so far it seems fine. Handles as it did before only much louder now. I'm googling everywhere but can't seem to find any factory dyno charts. The 06s aren't on the HD site anymore.
Doc"s gonna be busy, I will see him Aug 1, for SERT install, V&H Headers, 2" Rush, Andrews 26 cams and a Dyno tune, I'm thinkin' I will be a happy camper afterwards.
Slayer your tuner didn't use a Dyno Jet....I can't recognize the softare at all that made your print out. I have to wonder if the dyno have a eddie brake on it which is required to do a EFI tune. One other thing....it takes me 4 to 5 hours to do a SERT tune, it's not that I'm slow, it's because I check all throttle positions not just 100% throttle positionwhich most shops do.

Hope they didn't charge you too much...one hour is not a dyno tune. I doubt that they did much beyond what you could have done yourself with some tweaking of the tables and a couple of seat of the pants test runs. An actual dyno tune takes 3-5 hours.

Didn't mean anything by it...what you do want to avoid though is having them do a complete 3-5 hour dyno tune, and having to pay for it. A quickie tune to make sure you aren't running too lean till you get to Doc is all you need from the dealer. Not to offend dealers here but that is honestly the mostsome of them are capable of anyway....

Most Mustang Dynamometers are eddie current style,very popular in the automotive chassis dyno business. I would guess that there are more eddie current Mustangbrand chassis dynos used there then any other brand. DynoJets usually read 10-15% higherHP/TQ numbers then the many other brands of dynos in the automotivedyno arena,I'm sure it's true in the motorcycle dyno arena also, it's better for business to read higher.
Tuners are not abligated to provide theircustom tuning file unless agreed to in advance, thensome maydecideif they will expose certain tuningtechniques to the public and their competition. There is a big descrepency in tuning skills from tuner to tuner because tuning is more of an art then a science and here again, likein the automotive tuning field,some of the best tuners consider their file a "trade secret" and proprietary. As the motorcyle tuning profession matures, we will probably see more of this by top tuners. These tuners are usuallyso busy with a long backlogthat they do not concern themselves with the few who will not go to them for a tune if they can't have a copy of the tuning file.
